Three fan missions updated with numerous small fixes, and vastly reduced file size.

Yes, most of them are in the current version (often with improvements), so they no longer had to be included in the mission archives.
-
Fiasco at Fauchard Street went from 62 to 14 MB, and so on. Quite impressive.
-
Just played a bit last night, nice work.

Haha now I get it too!

Haha, I got it right away. Very funny.

Paul Verhoeven is a Goddamned genius. He needs to make a new scifi-jingoist satire film. Especially now that retro-80's "outrun" movies and music are in style. He should make a retro-future Robocop 4 with 80's anachronisms and X-rated violence to wash away the sins of the 2014 reboot.

If only they didn't respawn in new shapes everytime it looks cleared, over and over

Building levels on a laptop sucks. :/

Frobber said he built most of Keeper of the Prophecies on his ~1hr train commute to work.
-
Too bad my 1 h commute must go by car...
-
Frobber is a champ then, because I have tried Dromed on my laptop and it was awful. Well, I couldn't do much during the commute anyway since I am within 5 minutes walking distance from my work, so...

Legend of Grimrock or Beginner's Contest mission? Legend of Grimrock or Beginner's Contest mission? ...Beginner's Contest mission it is!

I'm having a bit of an FM break at the mo. Its on my "To Play" list though. I usually get around to playing all Thief / TDM FMs eventually.
-
Haven't played a T2 FM in ages. Maybe I should get back to it... =)
-
The amount of Thief FMs released might not be as many as before but there have still been plenty of high quality releases over the past few years. I'd be happy to provide a list of recs.

The last time I visited Berlin was in Autumn 2008, the exact days the world economy collapsed and all those banks went bankrupt. My plane departs tomorrow morning, so plan accordingly.

We had a lot of rain today. So it's not that hot anymore.
-
I can't stand being overheated. But, as if I had wished for a wish from a devious genie, I have the opposite problem. I sleep downstairs and my wife cranks the A\C until I'm frozen. I wear winter pajamas in the summer. Then when I do go outside I sweat like a pig.
-
I have the same problem - plus I tend to catch a cold due to the heat differences. So I use generous quantities of soda water instead of AC.
-
So what happened to Komag's site?

I might have to drop some $$ to get a copy of his DVD's then.
-
He stopped the DVD service long ago. There's a torrent for it all now.

While I was cleaning up sectoids, ethereals, mutons and all the other nasties, the US quietly went over to the side of the aliens and cut off my funding. Thanks guys!

X-COM: UFO to be exact. Addictive stuff.
-
Noo! You let the alien inflitration mission to succeed!
Rule number one: Always protect your largest funders!
-
...and now I've also got a base full of freaking ethereals under my nose. Oh good!

jaxa: Duh, forgot I could include URLs in my status updates here (can't do it on other forums).
SiyahParsomen: Sadly, I don't think so either.
-
Already pledged, even though I haven't played the first one yet. But I like the idea.
-
Why have I knot heard of this?! If I had the kinda cash they needed, that's something I'd get behind.

BRB, making TDM levels great again. (hopefully)

Let's deport all the revenant and zombie terrorists while we're at it!
-
And you know who's going to pay for The Wall? We're going to make the Evil Overlord pay for The Wall. It'll be the biggest wall, because I only build great walls. Great walls. It'll keep out everything. Nothing will get through. And the Evil Overlord will pay for it!
-
seems a bit odd...if the evil overlord has to build it wont they undermine it by putting tunnels under it. Or you could just invest in some boats and come around the ends.
-
Completed seven large, complex prefabs. This stuff will come in handy.

I'd like to use them first - but after that, I'll make them available. Some of the general ones may even come before that.

Can't wait

Posted a preview image in the WIP thread. It depicts... a furnace!

New mod asset in 3.. 2.. 1..

John Romero is about to make you his bitch... again! http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2012/10/04/wizardry-anachronox-devs-kickstart-old-school-rpg/ (plus: Brenda Brathwaite and Tom Hall are involved! Holy moly!)

Like bigger budget for hireing more team, spending extra on voice-overs, and more assets.
-
This guy has reputation, he could have made a more convincing kickstarter...

holy shit it's Tom Hall

Why did you do some work on GR jaxa..?

Saw Grimrock 1 on discount on steam and decided to buy it. Fun game, thus far. It's been a while after Lands of Lore: Throne of Chaos...

*thanks for showing us this cool sequel

I tried to play SS1 but it just didn't made my mind. SS2 is better?
-
Well, no, but it is a very different kind of good. If you like Thief, you will almost certainly like SS2. Don't forget to install SS2Tool ( from http://www.systemshock.org/index.php?topic=4141.0 ) and the following mods: http://www.systemshock.org/index.php?topic=4447.0 These should really improve the graphics while staying faithful to the look and feel of the game.
-
Don't forget to use Newshock patch!

I got that multistate elevator to work! Woo-hoo!

Yeah, but nothing like learning it for yourself ;-)

Killed horribly in my own mission. Oh, the humanity!

This means that you must release it now.

I think I'll have a test package ready tomorrow or something like that.

I just did the same last night when testing progress on the rebuild of my first map.

Any new missions coming for Halloween or thereabouts?

Well Gold, Moonbo and myself are trying to get a map out, but no promises.
-
A coop effort??! ... sound like we're up for sth. cool! :-)
-
Nope, but I'm contributing some hanged corpses, which fits the theme, I suppose.

Started a Veteran Xenonauts campaign, entire landing party wiped out on first mission. Eeep.

Xenonauts for depth, X-COM Enemy Unknown if you haven't got much time to put into it.
"AUTORESOLVE (100% VICTORY)" ... [engage manually] ... "SIGNAL LOST, HOW DID YOU MANAGE TO FAIL THAT, SERIOUSLY, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU"
-
Can't comment on Enemy Unknown, but Xenonauts is very faithful to the original UFO. It has a slightly slower tech creep and less terrain destruction, but otherwise, very close.
You can also try OpenXcom, which ports UFO to new hardware and adds a ton of options on the top.
-
I spent a lot of time in the Summer playing OpenXcom.
-
Have you played Endless Rain? You should play Endless Rain!

To Quote Slyfox "I stood in the start spot for five minutes just soaking it all in. I felt the rain on my head, the grit of the cobble stones, sniffed the smoke from a hundred chimneys. THIS is why we're all still here after so many years. So chock full 'o thiefy goodness!"
-
I didn't realize you were speaking about Skacky's mission?!?! I've been looking forward to this for awhile.
-
Ha. Turned on HDR and had worse FPS than TDM. Had to fiddle quite a bit to compromise between visuals and performance.
