Well, in that I case I have just the right thing for you (point to "Menü" and choose a "Galerie"). For the rest of us who have a less... "progressive" taste: at least the music is good.

Back on topic, I was recently more or less forced to join facebook and I noticed, there is only a group for TDM instead of a site. Of course I requested permission to join the group. But I guess the preferred practice here would generally be to create a site for TDM, so that people can "like" it and automatically receive news about TDM.

 

By the way, it was nice to finally link a face to some of the teammembers.

I wouldn't want FB to know when I visited the site, so in case you really add a Facebook button to the TDM site, please use the privacy friendly version provided by the German Heise Verlag. The explanation is written in German, so maybe one of the German team members can do the programming.

That's probably a good idea. FB keeps messing around with things, and I can't really see any value to groups anymore over pages, other than making it invitation only. And since very little goes on there anyway, I'm not sure there's any need for that.

The first and second phrases are intended for Google etc, because most people, who could help TDM project, just doesn't know about it. The main goal of these phrases is to attract as many people as possible. Does it look like a some sort of scam? Not sure, because the third phrase is saying: "Dude, you'll gain no money." Of course, most people will say "meh," but, I hope, someone will say "Heck! Why not?" and send a letter to NH.

There are several hoops people have to jump through before being able to help out, particularly when it comes to coding. I can't count the number of times we've had someone sign up to help with coding, get full instructions and help from greebo (taking away time he could be using eleswhere) and then disappearing without finishing anything useful.

 

Frankly, someone has to be pretty strongly motivated to join a project this far along in development, and that kind of motivation is only going to come from someone who has actually played and enjoyed the mod itself, I suspect.

 

It would be slightly easier, and just as valuable, to advertise for *mappers*.
