The TDM script reference on the wiki page seems to be pasted twice over. It's already a long enough page as it is...

It looks like someone tried to make it "easier" by having all the commands listed sorted by spawn class. If that is needed, it should probably be on it's own wiki page. Do you have wiki editing rights?
-
I don't but then again that double listing has been around forever iirc (subsection 1.1 v 1.2). There was a whole section 2 that was basically a repeat of 1. It's good that stgatilov regenerated it though, not only did it make that go away but the last update was from Dec. 2021.

Styling of that page is quite minimal. I added some styling myself (with Stylus plugin), to make it better readable:
Spoilerh2 { font-size: 180%; margin: 2em 0; } h3 { color: blue; margin-bottom: 0.5em; } h4 { margin: 2em 0 0.5em 1em; } dl { margin: 0 0 1em 0.5em; }
SpoilerThis does make the page much longer.

I've tried to update to 2.10 from 2.09 with the TDM updater but fails to update saying my installation is up to date, first time this has happened in many years of using the updater. So I guess I need to install a fresh new version which is unfortunate because of all the in game settings which will be lost with a new installation. There is a keybinds config file which I'll backup but don't know which files to back up for other in game settings
-
We've introduced a new installer with 2.09, tdm_installer.exe, and dropped support for the old installer with 2.10, tdm_update.exe. You can download the new installer from the Downloads page of www.thedarkmod.com if you dont have the new installer yet.

Please post your tech problems in ipur tech support forum. Config files are just textfiles. So just copy and paste parts for the keybinds.

Thanks for the reply and apologies for posting in the wrong place

Anyone else fail to get TDM 2.05 to run in latest Wine? (it used to run great)

Some of you who've been on the TDM discord know I was out of work last Winter, just putting in hrs for the developer portfolio. Currently I've been working a seasonal job to pay the bills and now I'm finally in my last week before I get bumped off. Things will be tight but I'm planning a long off period to make as much content as I can. Big plans in Unreal Engine as well as my most ambitious TDM collab yet! Never been so excited to be a stuck at home to pursue my life's work. With a lotta time and maybe some luck, I'm hoping to get enough art work done that I may start applying around to studios.

Sorry about the job status but I am glad to hear that you will be doing some TDM things to sharpen your prospects Good luck!

Thanks fellas!
@NeonsStyleYeah I see CA's listings pretty frequently on ArtStation. Certainly making some cool stuff, however I just wish they had a branch state-side.
@nbohr1moreHonestly the job situation is what makes this possible for me. If I'm living within my means, unemployment benefits will keep me afloat while I make this a full-time endeavor.

Money or the lack thereof sucks balls. Hope you guys find a solution. @Epi, you can work online, that's a
big thing today, n offers so many opportunities, but the work isolation is tough.

Some years earlier i created some launchers for TDM. uploaded today some new sourcecode and executables on my github repo.

Still spreading the word about TDM on forums to new peops... Funny to see people say "Awesome, I loved playing Thief back in the day!"

Yes it was in a discussion where someone was saying how unhappy they are with the way game companies grant themselves permission to do whatever they like to your PC and personal info today. I pointed out that giving up games completely is an unnecessarily overkill solution when there are free games like TDM to play.

Honestly the mod/Indie genre is still really booming right now. And they aint got no reason to do shady invasive privacy bs.

What Epifire said. :-)
