I am interested in this: how many missions are close to release nowadays? Sir Taffsalot has one in beta... how many more? Hands up, please! :)

**The 1.08 pack**

Crystal Grave is all but finished but appears to be waiting on 1.08 due to the many language fixes for that version.

Grayman's mission is in beta.

Baddcog's mission has gotta be pretty close too, he was targeting a release near 1.08 as I recall.

I am personally very interested in Jesps WIP mission. He's usually very productive so I imagine it might be pretty far along?

Pranqster's mission looked pretty fleshed-out too?

I have almost finished the 1.08 update on both Alberics curse and Business as useal - I have corrected most of the niggles people had. If I get time I may well do the same with Caducaus and Cathedral maps.

Not sure we want exotic fruits like bananas and melons - the setting of TDM is poor, dirty and medival and European. A root, salad, or a bowl of cherries might fit more.

As for texturing, you'll see its sometimes half the final product, so I think it would be important for you to choose one simple model and go through the whole process of giving it a diffuse, normal and specular (when applicable) texture, as well as putting it in game - making them game-ready is a sure way people will pick it up and use it in their missions. ;)

Funny video about bananas (its actually a very interesting talk):

Texture artist needed.

You won't get very far looking for other people to texture your models, unfortunately. Even if they're already uv-mapped, texturing can often take more effort than modelling them in the first place.

Tel's point about the exotic fruit is valid, but Bridgeport is a port that gets all kinds of exotic things from around the world. As long as mappers use them appropriately (to show wealth, for example) they'd be fine.

The melon is on the Model Wishlist in the wiki.

@RPGista and Spring: That was a joke. I know that texturing is a lot of work and takes much more time than modelling.

Not even sure if I could give up control over my work and let someone else finish it.

But sometimes you wish there is someone who can texturing them for you.

Watermelons would definitely show up in a Mediterranean setting, and not every mission will be set in Bridgeport. In Europe, there was a significant trade in tropical fruits that could weather the journey in the early modern, and even late mediaeval period. Actually, lemons, oranges and pomegranates were widely cultivated in wealthier gardens even in colder areas before cheap imports became available, typically in noble households and monasteries. You can also grow lemons indoors, and a lot of wealthy people did. We even have models for hothouses in the asset base!

It's an expression people can use, yes.

It's using weather in the same rare sense as rocks being weathered by erosion (I think)... undergoing some punishing conditions and being weakened by it.

What do you see when you turn out the light? I can't tell you but I know that it's mine.

BD, I loved the screenies you posted! If there is ever a need to put together promotional material for TDM, it should be enough to use the screenshots you posted. They best represent what TDM is capable of.

My Eigenvalue is bigger than your Eigenvalue.
