E-waste will be reduced when you just upgrade the main board with a new piece of system-on-a-chip... But how long the main board will be compatible with the new inserted System-on-a-chip? 5 years?

If you buy a desktop computer, you could easily use it for five years without upgrading.

Personally, I feel they should make it smaller and with a stronger battery that is able to power it for longer periods of time. There's no reason they can't, because the motherboard is so small.

Also, I hope it has an analog headphone jack. Please do include a DAC.

I found out the other day that the guys responsible for the legendary series of "dick in a box", "the golden rule" and "mother lover" have quite a few songs.... So funny! :)

Oh yeah, hell funny! And don't forge their "I just had sex" :D Turtleneck and Chain are soo funny!

Android is coming for the desktop... I hope this sort of thing expands.

I already saw a "computer-in-the-keyboard" type computer, but running I think Windows or Linux. Its really strange, and presumable wasn't upgradable, but anyway, it was so cheap that upgrading it would be a waste of time and the target usage (websurfing, etc) makes upgrading useless, anyway.

OTOH, I'm not really sure that the point is, anyway. Sure, you no longer need the computer but you need to connect all cables to they keyboard (which might make it more awkward and stiff on your desktop), so it isn't a laptop replacement (for that it needs wireless display WiDi).

Putting android on everything seems the rage nowawadays, but it is actually step back for the user. You only have a fixed set of apps, the google spying, malware is there, too, and you cannot install software freely as you want. Seems to me all the drawbacks, but very little advantages over having a real OS. It is fine for media players and "consuming devices", but not so for real "creating" and software development etc.

Edit. "Coolship is a strongly customized Android version" - ugh, NOO. That means in 3 years it is no longer updated, incompatible with other stuff, and you can't replace the OS with your own, anyway. Oh well.

This video should have been at least twice as long, he talks way to fast and skips over some interesting details in 1 second. But I guess it is taylored to the twitter generation where nothing can exceed your tiny attention span of ooh shiny!

I couldn't imagine the video any minute longer - it was all okay for me

Idea I had for a mission center which loads different submissions from it without set order.
I add it to my list of things to add to a (first?) mission..

I started using Unexpected Keyboard for Android phone.
It's pretty cool, because it has an actual Ctrl key, which you can use to do cut, copy and paste actions via x, c and v. pretty handy in the forums, to move quoted text around for example.

Dammit there are too many missions available now. That's what I get for being away for so long. Such a first-world problem.
