Popular Post ERH+ 661
I was thinking how far into industrial era the consumerism starts to drive some big numbers of major group society. Mass-producing of cheap things from celluloid (combs, kitchen utensils, etc.) making modern marketing and advertisement spread around streets and people's minds. Child labor and 12-hour shifts, seven days a week is one thing about factories dominating the world, but putting more modern image of a human in basically dark age grounded society needs some serious rethinking of the whole world set. And for now, a tank. With no context. Edited January 9, 2020 by ERH+
Popular Post Melan 1807
I have no idea how the treads could ever work, so I am content to describe it as SORCERY! 3 4 Quote Come the time of peril, did the ground gape, and did the dead rest unquiet 'gainst us. Our bands of iron and hammers of stone prevailed not, and some did doubt the Builder's plan. But the seals held strong, and the few did triumph, and the doubters were lain into the foundations of the new sanctum. -- Collected letters of the Smith-in-Exile, Civitas Approved

Jedi_Wannabe 216
Been falling in love with decals of all sorts this past weekend. Grime, dirt, moss, and slime. Took areas I once considered boring and drab and really elevated them to a new level. I get the jokes when people say "needs more grime"; because it really does add layers of depth and atmosphere. 4 Quote As my father used to say, "A grenade a day keeps the enemy at bay!" Popular Post Jedi_Wannabe 216
Sorry I can only manage to get two decent screens per post. Really enjoyed toying with the shadows from statues and placing blood decals. 10 Quote As my father used to say, "A grenade a day keeps the enemy at bay!"
peter_spy 1542
About that white wall, I think that the material tiles too often. Either break it up with more details on geometry, or decrease texture scaling. Edited January 14, 2020 by peter_spy Quote Misc. assets for TDM
Jedi_Wannabe 216
The white bricks? Yeah I agree. They need alignment anyway. I’ve held off on fixing that because I’m still not sure if that’s gonna be the final texture. I toyed with stucco and plaster but they didn’t look right. Gonna try a few more cobblestones and bricks. 1 Quote As my father used to say, "A grenade a day keeps the enemy at bay!"
JackFarmer 475
@Jedi_Wannabe You have added trees in the corner and additional bushes close to the walls, very good idea. Did you "SEED" the hassocks?
Jedi_Wannabe 216
Nothing SEEDed yet. That’s next on the agenda to learn. I’d planned some alternate routes through my forest, but my entity count is around 7000 so oh well Quote As my father used to say, "A grenade a day keeps the enemy at bay!" Geep 248
Release Candidate 2 for Air Pocket is now out. Links here . The "one-way" cannon-ball hole, considered a bit too weird by many, has been replaced, and there's more sly light-fingering fun. If no show-stoppers, this release will go official in a week. Coming shortly: a few more new mission screenshots.

Popular Post Geep 248
Another wiki topic added: Your Mission - From Beta Testing to Release and Beyond with links from the endings of: A - Z Beginner Full Guide Page 6 How to pack your Mission The material here will be largely obvious to old hands, but worth stating explicitly for the benefit of newcomers. From the Introduction: This article elaborates typical steps for beta-testing a mission beyond its packaging, namely: distribution, forum presence, and testing. This process continues to Final Release and any updates. Consider this a follow-on to - * A - Z Beginner Full Guide; and * How to Pack your Mission, which fully describes the vital process of packaging and testing a .PK4 archive.

Popular Post Geep 248
I've just posted a full rewrite of this stylistically-challenged wiki page: Playing ROQ Video Files While use of RoQ is deprecated for new FMs, the article's general approach is still of some interest. I plan to eventually situate it within a set of examples that (on a separate page) include more modern video formats. I've kept the historical aspect of the article, while adding pointers to newer treatments of RoQ files, for anyone who needs to maintain them.
