I have created this thread to extend my (and others') congratulations for this massive update.

 

(If someone has a screen-shot of vine arrows arrows it would be greatly appreciated...)

Did the new combat animations get pulled from this release (tracker 2537)?

The bug report was missing a "target version v1.07" (it only had "fixed in v1.07"). I added it now. Mabe other reports are missing these fields, too, and thus do not appear in the list of things fixed.

Excellent job! Now to download it on my laptop until my main PC gets better...

Were the "Wulfen" Doom 3 textures added yet?

Nope, tho they are close, a lot of them require retouching to better match their old counterparts, a few also need to be spun off as new textures I think.

 

There's a good few other textures in there - not that I can remember off hand, but it should be a bunch of Melans, some new foliage, couple improved normalmaps.

Just downloaded and tested briefly on my current map. Oh boy! Usually, the map freezes for several seconds when I noclip into the void, but now I can dart through the whole thing and it's merely noticeable :)

 

Ever seen Dumb and Dumber, when Harry has gotten Lloyd a date with Mary and Lloyd hugs him; "I love you man!!!" That's exactly how I feel towards the team now :)

Thanks for the update folks. I particularly like the new cloth sounds and sword sounds. The AIs now seem more alive and alert than ever. Can someone with limited resources (2GB RAM) report if the re-compressed textures helped out performance for you?

      Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

      i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
      tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

      Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

      I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
      Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.
