A mage with a woman's head.

Come the time of peril, did the ground gape, and did the dead rest unquiet 'gainst us. Our bands of iron and hammers of stone prevailed not, and some did doubt the Builder's plan. But the seals held strong, and the few did triumph, and the doubters were lain into the foundations of the new sanctum. -- Collected letters of the Smith-in-Exile, Civitas Approved

I'm a big fan of the way you... diversify the existing AIs :P

Thank you!

I've been wondering why we don't have denominations of builders, same models wearing green or brown or gold, along with the red.

Sub Zero, Scorpion and Reptile are all the same sprite with a different color outfit.

Imagination makes them seem individual characters.

Yes, that would be a very simple photoshop if any mapper ever wanted to work with a different order of the religion - maybe a seclusive sect, or a town so distant from Bridgeport that religious practice follows an unfamiliar doctrine. Just as Rome and Constantinople were opposing centres of religious authority.

It could go further still and be a difference on a level like Catholicism and Protestantism (Calvinism). In the colder northern regions you could find a Builder order whose followers wear grey or black, live strict and simple lives and who build plain churches with no adornments. No golden builder symbols or candlesticks. Although closer inspection of the Bishop's chambers by a thief might reveal a sizeable stash of valuables.

I'm sure there were long discussions of having several orders in the core assets, for example if there should be Mechanists. The concensus turned out to be one order, which looks to me like it's midway between Hammerites and Mechanists - their symbol is a hammer and cog. Mechanically very capable, but not really into steambots, cyborgs or automated surveillance. Yet.

One thing waiting for me to put it to use is the banner on the right here; though I vaguely have in mind more a secular techno-utopian-mystical association than a directly Mechanist-like one. (The thing to the left is unrelated; it's from this season's 'H.P. Lovecraft Tiles a Bathroom' collection.)

That second one is like a new-school 2d platformer. Never seen the mission from this perspective. B)

Capela: it is textures/darkmod/stone/cobblestones/cobblestones_rounded_blue2 and it has been in the core mod assets in the latest version or two.

I've had the idea before to set up a camera above the player and make a platform level out of Darkmod.

There's precedence for stealth platformers, so it might work, and it might be possible without a branch. The PC could use more animations maybe, but that's not too bad.

What do you see when you turn out the light? I can't tell you but I know that it's mine.

Still working on the ghosts, but I have trouble finding some of the materials for the heads. If I remember correctly someone made a small program that can search in the pk4 files without extracting them. I think it was bikerdude? Does this program also run under windows? And if so, would you be so kind as to give it to me? It would make this work a lot easier...

This is some pics from me playing around with Dark Radiant and TDM assets, there's no "story" to it, just playing around, but it could grow into something in time, who knows.

Is WIP btw. :)

Hello, Since this track is originally from TDM,i think it's better to ask here than TTLG. Do you guys have the full version of this ambient track?

      Bachelor Mapping Challenge!
The girlfriend will be away to her mum's place for almost a week, which means more mapping time for me! I'm planning a speed build. Hope it will go my way
I'm starting by downloading 2.11. Don't know if I'm going to use any fancy new stuff. Just want to crack those itching map muscles that has gone dry and dead since almost a year's worth of no-mapping

The cool part of Canonical's Snap, is that my machine can now ray-trace an entire (simple) scene faster than it takes the web browser to start!

      Fm idea (braindump)
"Experience the life of a mission builder"
Esentially there are finnished elements placed somewhere in storage in the game and you have to place them in the correct places, build some walls here and there, add guard routes, give them their correct speech lines, etc. Decorate the places.. all in-game. lots of fun.. 😉
If you do it right in the end you can play the mission.
(would be even cooler if a thief-ai could play the mission, making it some kind of tower-defence game)

This first started as an idea for an aquarium builder mission where-in you have to fill an empty aquarium with sand, waterplants, castles water and swimming fish. But above idea is more fun.

Dear ChatGPT, What are The Builders in the Dark Mod?

The Builders is a popular game mode in the video game community called "Dark Mod," which is a fan-made tribute to the classic "Thief" series of stealth games. In this game mode, players assume the role of builders who construct structures in a dark and ominous environment while trying to avoid detection by patrolling guards.
The Builders game mode is unique in that it offers players the opportunity to create and design their own levels using the in-game tools and resources provided. Players can experiment with different building materials, construct intricate traps and puzzles, and create their own unique gameplay experiences.
While The Builders game mode is not an official part of the Dark Mod, it has become one of the most popular and well-loved aspects of the game, thanks to its emphasis on creativity, strategy, and stealth.

You guys did not know that, did you?
