Congrats mister, it was a joy to beta test and perf.

@Oh you lovely people won't know what hit you, Grayman has raised the bar yet again!

You wanted death defying rooftop exploration you got it, you wanted a deep engaging storyline and stories within stories, you got it all over the place and finally you wanted awe inspiring views and TDM bling, you got it.

Now stopping reading this fan boy's post and get playing yet another one of Grayman's masterpieces!

@Gman, I'm uploading to the mirrors and creating the FM page now.

Congrats on the release. If it's half as good as the last one it will raise the bar once again. Don't have the time to play it today so I have something to look forward to tomorrow.

Thanks for investing all the time :)

Just started and this is going to take a long time to complete - not that I am complaining at all - just the opposite in fact

I had a few go's to see what counts as the streets and it is lot more encompassing than just the streets themselves - so guess who has been killed a few times :blush:

Fantastic! Congratulations! I can't wait to dig in to this, probably be Friday night or Saturday morning though so I can enjoy the darkness. Can't wait.

Exactly. It's a perfect synthesis of what TDM can bring to life.

Was a joy to beta test!

Even though I've played it through 8 times now during beta testing, I still want to play it again and just sit back and enjoy it.

I always assumed I'd taste like boot leather.

Dang, why couldn't I see this a little earlier, me gots to go to bed now! Grrrr! Congrats on the release. I am sure the mission will be as excellent as the last one. :)

Thoroughly enjoyed this. Superb and dark atmosphere and great gameplay with lots of nooks and crannies to explore. This mission begs for street exploration though, but even like this it's a very very solid rooftop mission.

Several issues:

- The cash box key found in the captain's office doesn't unlock the cash box itself. I was forced to pick its lock.

- I couldn't frob that dude:

- You can climb here, directly after the inventor's guild:

As Gman was so chuffed with personal play-through vid I did, I thought I would do it properly and capture it at better resolution, enjoy -

- 5 parts that were recorded @ 5140*1040 but youtube dumbed down to 1440p. (2160p is available but dosent seem to work atm)

- here is all 5 parts joined together at 1080p, but dosent look as cool.

@Grayman, feel free to add these the OP.

Argh!

Whoever posted skacky's screenshot on Facebook needs to change the picture. That's a view that the player is not supposed to see. I can put up with folks going where I thought they couldn't go, but screenshots like that shouldn't be posted outside the thread as an example of the mission.

Please use one of the two pics I posted in the OP.

I just checked, and the key opens the cash box, and I can frob and shoulder the Inventor.

Not sure what's going on at your end.

Had no performance issues! For such a big mission that's really surprising. Really solid rooftops exploration to be had. I found a few areas outside of where you intended to get to, like skacky did. Looks like they're probably the same one--the tower with the archer was at least. I had no issues with the other things he mentioned. This is probably the most amazing rooftops/"thieves highway" type mission since, well, Life of the Party. I wouldn't say it's better than the last WS mission, but it's still really good.

Whee! Looks incredible. Gotta start reserving uninterrupted time for this. I'm gonna enjoy it slooowly. ;)

I moved from Manjaro Linux (rolling release) to Linux Mint (LTS). One of the reasons was that I found the updates a bit too often and long. But now on Mint I get updates every day, although they're usually small updates.

I'd like to track my level design progress a bit more often now, so I'm using the feed in my profile here.
I've been working intensively on Springheel's YouTube course over the past few days. I'm currently up to lesson 8. There is so much information that needs to be processed and practiced.
I have started to create my own house. As I don't have the imagination to create a good floor plan, I grabbed a floor plan generator from Watabou and experimented with it. I chose a floor plan that I will modify slightly, but at least I now have an initial idea.
I used two guards as a measuring tape: The rooms are two guards high. It turned out that I can simply double the number of boxes in DarkRadiant in grid size 8 that are drawn in the floor plan.
I practiced the simplest things on the floor plan first. Drawing walls, cutting walls, inserting doors, cutting out frames, creating VisPortals, furnishing rooms.
I have had my first success in creating a book. Creating a book was easier than I thought. I have a few ideas with books. The level I'm creating will be more or less a chill level, just for me, where I'll try out a few things. I don't have an idea for my own mission yet. I want to start small first.
For the cellar, I wanted to have a second entrance, which should be on the outside. I'm fascinated by these basement doors from the USA, I think they're called Bilco basement doors. They are very unusual in Germany, but this type of access is sometimes used for deliveries to restaurants etc., where barrels can be rolled or lifted into the cellar.
I used two Hatch Doors, but they got completely disoriented after turning. I have since got them reasonably tamed. It's not perfect, but it's acceptable.
In the cellar today I experimented with a trap door that leads to a shaft system. The rooms aren't practically finished yet, but I want to continue working on the floor plan for now. I'll be starting on the upper floor very soon.

On a lighter note, thanks to my cat-like reflexes, my superior puzzle skills and my perfect memory, I was able to beat the remastered version of "Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation" in a new superhuman record time of 23 h : 35 m, worship me!
